To initiate the process of signing a Service Agreement with UI, first register with UI by clicking on  "Sign up" link on home page or "Registration" link on the top menu bar. You may also download the sample Service Agreement to review on the home page.

The UI Supplier Relations Department will then contact you to begin negotiating the details of your Service Agreement. When negotiations are final, UI will ask that you sign the Service Agreement.

Once you complete the registration process, you will be able to use this Web site to access UI's customer information. 

Registered suppliers can download UI's Non-Private Customer Information lists by city by clicking on the link called "Download Customer List." Specifically, this information includes all non-private customers’ names, addresses, telephone numbers, rate classes, billing cycles and metering environments. In May 1999, UI gave customers the option to flag their accounts as private or non-private. This privacy status applies only to the release of customer lists, and not to the release of historical usage. By law, UI must provide this data, upon request, to licensed electric suppliers.

To Register with UI, click on "Sign up" link on Home page or go to "Registration" page from top menu bar. On the Registration page, you will have to choose user type from the drop down list. 

Choose the user type from the following options and continue:

New Member Registration: Choose this option if your company is already registered in UI system and you desire to gain access as user of site. 

New Supplier Registration: Choose this option to register your company in UI system and request for registration as a new member.

Please read further for more details about the two user types for registration. After completion of registration, you will receive registration confirmation email and your application will be submitted for review and approval by supplier relations team aby UI. After approval, you will receive email notification for the same.

New Member Registration:

User should have the following details to proceed-

            Supplier Code- This is a code provided by Suppliers Relations at UI.              
           Encoded Number- This number generated at the time of approval of your company registration with UI.

 Supplier code and Encoded number are sent in the approval e-mail, once your company registration with UI is approved. Please contact the person who registered your company with UI for these details.

On providing correct combination of supplier code and encoded number, you will be prompted to provide your information and contact details as follows-

Member Contact Information: This section caters your contact details and your login credentials using which you will be able to access SMS website going forward.

• Member Contact Type: Contact type of the person viz. business contact, EDI Contact. Please choose from the drop down.(mandatory)
• Business Title: Business title of the UI Customer(optional)
• First Name: The first name of the UI customer, should be minimum 4 characters long. (mandatory)
• Middle Initial: The middle initial of the UI customer, should be 1 character long. (optional)
• Last Name: The last name or business name of the UI customer, should be minimum 4 characters long. (mandatory)
• Office phone: 10 digit phone number of the UI customer including area code, should be a number in format xxx-xxx-xxxx(mandatory) 
• Extension: Office phone extesion, should be a number in format xxxxx(optional)
• Cell Phone: 10 digit cell phone of the UI customer including area code, should be a number in format xxx-xxx-xxxx(optional)
• Fax: The Fax number of the UI customer either personal or business(optional)
• Email ID: The email of the UI customer for all communications like registration confirmation, request access and change password confirmation, should be in formate abc@abc.abc(mandatory)
• Address Line1: Street Address information of the UI customer(mandatory)
• Address Line2: Additional address information of the UI customer (optional)
• City: The city name of the UI customer(mandatory)
• State: The state of the UI customer, please choose from dowp-down. (mandatory)
• Zip: The 5 digit(no post box number) ZIP code of the UI customer(mandatory)
• UserID: Unique user id to enter to identify user existence and user type at the time of login, should be minimum 4 characters long.(mandatory)
• Password: Password to use for login going forward, minimum 4 characters length(mandatory)
• Re-enter Password: Confirmation password, enter the same value of password field(mandatory) 

Security Information: This section caters the security information using which you will be able to retrieve password incase you forget it or your account gets suspended because of

• Secutrity Question: Drop down box to select the security question from the list, this is requied in case of forgot password(mandatory)
• Security Answer : Answer for the selected security question. It is required to remember the answer for future purposes like forgot password

New Supplier Admin Registration: New supplier registration contains supplier company information, company address and admin contact information. After successful registration, you will receive email notification with your login details. Once the application is approved by supplier relations team at UI, you will receive email notification for the same. The approval notification email has Supplier Code and Encoder Number which will be required to input while registering other members of your company.

Company Information : This section caters information of about your company.

• Company Name : Supplier company name(mandatory)
• Legal Company Name: Supplier company legal name(mandatory)
• DPUC Docket Number(XX-XX-XX): Department of Public Utility Control number which is 6 digit number in the form of xx-xx-xx(optional)

Corporate Address : This section caters corporate address of your company.

• Address Line1: Street Address information of the UI customer(mandatory)
• Address Line2: Additional address information of the UI customer (optional)
• City: The city name of the UI customer(mandatory)
• State: The state of the UI customer(mandatory)
• Zip: The 5 digit(no post box number) ZIP code of the UI customer(mandatory)
